Common Payroll Questions

Payroll begins at 12:00 am on Monday and ends at 11:59 pm on Sunday. So, if you work an overnight shift on Sunday from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, your hours from 8:00 pm to 11:59 pm (4 hours) will be on Week 1 and 12:00 am to 8:00 am (8 hours) will be on Week 2.

If you change your account, you MUST notify CareSearch ASAP to avoid delay in your weekly Direct Deposits. Email the new information to chris@caresearch.com along with your full name and Caregiver ID.

If you do not have a bank account or a banking card, you can request a check be mailed to you each week. Just let CareSearch know.

Payroll hours are calculated on Monday afternoon for the previous week. Payrun reports are available to families on Tuesday. If there are no objections to the numbers, payroll is run on Wednesday afternoon and you will have a Direct Deposit the following Monday.

If you have a question about your pay, you may call the office between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Please ready over previous questions above to make sure it was not already answered.

Please note that Families who have just signed with CareSearch might have their payroll delayed by a week. If they have not signed all payroll forms and are not entered into the payroll system, payroll cannot begin until the following week. Your hours worked for the first week will be added to the next week’s payroll.

Sample Payroll

Monday, October 22nd CareSearch calculates the previous week at 27 hours. The family is notified of Jody’s hours/total pay on Tuesday, October 23rd. There are no disputes of hours/cost so payroll proceeds on Wednesday, October 24th. 

Jody receives her Direct Deposit on Monday October 29th for the 27 hours she worked between October 15 – 21.

Monday, October 22nd CareSearch calculates the previous week at 34 hours (14 hours Friday, 14 hours Saturday & 6 hours Sunday). The family is notified of Maria’s hours/total pay on Tuesday, October 23rd. There are no disputes of hours/cost so payroll proceeds on Wednesday, October 24th. 

Jody receives her Direct Deposit on Monday October 29th for the 34 hours she worked between October 15 – 21.

The 10 hours (midnight Sunday until 10:00 am Monday) will be added to the payroll for October 22 – 28.

Monday, October 22nd CareSearch calculates the previous week at 6 hours. The family had called CareSearch on Friday afternoon needing to set up a schedule for their father. Since the deadline for enrolling in Automated Payroll is Thursday for any new family, Bryan’s 6 hours will be added to the payroll for October 22 – 28.
